Gestational Carriers
Women who decide to enter into the commitment of surrogacy are amazing individuals. Generally, they are caring, nurturing individuals who repeatedly state that they love being pregnant! They have an intrinsic value of wanting to help people who have struggled with fertility issues to feel the same joy they have experienced in being a parent.
At The Surrogacy Center, we carefully screen potential gestational carriers. In order to be considered for our program, you must meet the following minimum criteria prior to completing an application:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have given birth to a child of your own
- Must be a non-smoker
- Must be a permanent resident of the Unites States
- Must have medical insurance
If you meet the above requirements, we ask that you complete our application. Carriers are compensated for their risk and it is the carrier who determines how much she wants for compensation. The Surrogacy Center provides guidelines for the Carrier to follow in completing the Fee & Expense Form, which we send with our packet of information.
Once we receive your application, we will review it and determine whether you are a potential candidate for our program. We ask that you forward your medical records to us as they pertain to your previous pregnancies. Also, we will ask for your complete insurance information (summary plan description), in order for our attorneys to review it in detail. We will schedule an in-person interview with you at our office and require that you undergo a psychological evaluation as well as your husband/partner (if applicable).
