Fee Schedule for
Intended Parents

Fees for the entire surrogacy process can vary widely due to many factors, but in our experience we have found that the total cost (legal fees, medical procedures, agency fees, and Carrier fees) are approximately $75,000 to $100,000.

The following is a summary of the fee schedule for The Surrogacy Center:

$350

Consultation/Application Fee – due with Parents’ Application

$7,500

Due upon Parents’ initial approval of their Carrier

$8,250

Due within five (5) days of Parents having selected, and having been selected by a Carrier, and the fertility clinic having approved her for participation in the procedure. This amount includes the following: (1) $7,500 as a final payment of the Center’s fee, and (2) $750 for the escrow management fee. If The Surrogacy Center will not be managing the escrow account, the final payment is $7,500.

Fees paid to The Surrogacy Center are non-refundable.

Legal Services are separate from the program fees paid to The Surrogacy Center. The following is a summary of the fee schedule for The Law Center for Children and Families, which represents The Surrogacy Center:

Legal Services $7,875:

1.

Parentage Agreement - $2,625
The Law Center prepares the Parentage Agreement, reviews the fertility clinic’s consents/agreements, and evaluates health insurance plans. Parents and carriers are encouraged to consult with their own legal counsel to provide independent legal advice and service with respect to the Center’s documents.

2.

Parentage Proceedings - $5,250
The Law Center prepares legal documents and represents The Surrogacy Center in court proceedings relating to guardianship and parentage. The Law Center also provides the legal services necessary for Parents’ names to be listed as the legal parents on the child’s birth certificate.

(Note: additional charges are incurred if there is more than one child and also if there is a known gamete donor.)

Additional expenses may include, without limitation:

  • Hourly fees to The Law Center for out-of-town travel time.
  • Itemized disbursements, such as filing and guardian ad-litem fees.
  • Other fees that may apply are outlined in the Fee Agreement with The Law Center for Children and Families.

Other expenses not included in the above are medical services as well as amounts agreed to be paid to or on behalf of the carrier for her services.
