Gestational Carriers

Welcome!

We’re happy you are considering carrying a child for those who wish to become parents, but have not been able to have a child.

By becoming a gestational carrier, you will be joining a group of special women who know the joy of having a child and want to share it with those who have not been able to experience that joy.

We are here to help you help others through their surrogacy journey. The first thing we do is to make sure that you meet the requirements for our program. You must be at least 21 years old, have given birth and are raising your child or children, have a history of healthy pregnancies, be a non-smoker and non-abuser of drugs or alcohol, and be in overall good health with a healthy BMI. Your first step is to request an application, which you can do here. Once we have reviewed your application and made sure that you meet the prerequisites for our program, we will ask for the medical records of your previous pregnancies, a clearance form signed by your OB, a copy of your health insurance plan, and pictures to share with intended parents. We will then follow up with an interview and schedule a psychological assessment.

Gestational Carrier (GC) Requirements:

  • Between the ages of 21-44
  • Have had at least one full-term healthy pregnancy and delivery
  • No more than 5 deliveries and 3 C-sections
  • Currently parenting at least one child in home
  • No major complications with previous pregnancies
  • No medical issues that would complicate pregnancy
  • Healthy and stable lifestyle, nonsmoker/no high-risk behaviors, BMI at or below 35
  • Able to provide prenatal and delivery medical records
  • Have support of spouse or partner (or family, friend or co-worker if single)
  • Financially stable
  • Passionate about helping people

What is our role?

During this whole process, we will be there to support you and answer any questions you may have. Once you have been approved, we will be ready to match you with intended parents and will set up a time when everyone can meet and discuss plans moving forward. We’ll then be with there to assist you with anything you need while you go through the medical steps needed to get pregnant, the transfer of the embryo(s), your pregnancy and the baby’s birth.

Agency Expectations for Gestational Carriers

Communication
We ask for consistent and open communication throughout the application, matching, and surrogacy journey. This can be through email, text, or phone calls. GCs need to plan on replying to messages within 48 hours. If approved, GCs are expected to use the Calendar function through our web portal (or another calendar agreed upon with the IPs) to mark all appointment dates. This will help all parties be up to date with timelines and scheduling.

Commitment
By completing the web portal application, the GC is committing herself to working with TSC exclusively and moving forward with matching. While there are unexpected life circumstances that may prohibit moving forward (such as a major change in health status, divorce, etc), we ask that a GC prepare to work through other lesser obstacles that might come up during the journey. Surrogacy is incredibly rewarding and a unique thing to pursue, but please remember that it needs to also be treated like a compensated position that requires time, organization and dedication.

Transparency
While much of any surrogacy journey is filled with positive emotions and happiness, there are often also moments of frustration, doubt, and nervousness. Please be willing to communicate this with us at any time throughout the journey. We are here to help guide and resolve conflict however we can.

Thank you for your consideration of giving such a priceless gift, and please don’t hesitate to contact us wit any questions you may have about your application.
